About Ruleo
A village raised boy from Falmouth Antigua, Ruleo has an immense love and appreciation of the marine environment. Ruleo is an avid sailor, fisher and diver, who feels more at home in the water than on land. He was one of the first to promote hunting lionfish in Antigua, and regularly encourages persons to hunt and consume them. Given his love for the coral reef ecosystem, Ruleo understands the need to manage and reduce the abundance of lionfish in these ecosystems, in order to provide them an opportunity to regain their health.
What do you like about lionfish hunting?
The sustainability factor. Hunting lionfish always gives you a feel good factor, as you know you are doing something great for the marine environment.
