About Mr. Wateless
Waste less, Love more, and a healthy ecosystem is like food for my soul. I love to help people and the environment and by hunting lionfish, we can do both. I was born in Australia and fell in love with the stunning biodiversity and laid-back atmosphere of the Bocas del Toro archipelago whilst I was exploring the world and decided to stay when I realized that the environment here needed help to be protected from threats like the invasive lionfish and plastic pollution destroying its precious blue carbon ecosystems.
What do you like about lionfish hunting?
I became a vegetarian a long time ago mainly because I knew that most meats, be it beef or fish was not captured or farmed in a sustainable way causing serious damage to our planet and our future, when I learned that eating lionfish was not only delicious and sustainable but even good for the environment I gladly went back to becoming a pescatarian.
What do you like about the lionfish community?
Everyone is so cool and adventurous and they tend to really care about the environment and society.
Lionfish are just one of many threats to the health of our environment and future. We need to band together to raise more awareness about how we can protect our mother earth, and what better way than eating something that is healthy for us but not for the ecosystem.
