Alex is one of the top lionfish hunters and experts in the world. His work in marine conservation is helpful for creating healthy reefs. He coordinates artificial reefs in Okaloosa County to help create more structure for fish to thrive. His work in the lionfish community is second to none!
What do you like about lionfish hunting?
The excitement of removing as many lionfish in a single dive. The hunt, the removal, the hope that the fish of the reefs will get chance to grow big enough to help propagate the reef for future generations.

The people! It is such a caring and fun group of divers, business owners, nonprofits that all share the same goal – save the reefs and the fish that populate them and keep our reefs healthy and vibrant.
